Update: The Richmond Christmas Fund recently announced that the monies raised by Eric Schroter and friends helped ensure 800 kids received Christmas gifts and also provided more than 2,000 families with grocery gift cards.  Here’s the Richmond Christmas Fund Letter.

CFMR partner, Eric Schroter, spearheaded a successful fundraiser at the Richmond Bar Dinner recently. With the overwhelming support of Richmond lawyers, other legal practitioners and their law firms, the Richmond Christmas Fund grew by $13,000 this year, ensuring hundreds of families struggling through difficult times will receive much-needed support.

The Richmond Bar Dinner, organized by Roundtable members Eric Schroter, Gary Cohen, and colleague Gary Hagel, was attended by 120 people and held at the River Rock, which waived fees for the room and provided a raffle prize. Our thanks also to keynote speaker, Tony Wilson, Vancouver lawyer and Globe and Mail columnist, who brought the house down with his charm and wit!

The dinner received coverage in The Richmond Review, and Volunteer Richmond wrote a story about it on their blog.
