Eric Schroter has been appointed as a director of the Richmond Christmas Fund for 2013. The Richmond Christmas Fund program mobilizes the community spirit of giving through monetary donations and donations of new toys and other gifts for needy families. Each year, the Fund distributes grocery vouchers to low-income Richmond residents so that every family has the opportunity to sit down to a joyful holiday celebration. In 2012, more than 800 children 15 years and younger received gifts, ensuring that no child returned to school in January without a wonderful story to tell. In all, the Richmond Christmas Fund helped over 2,000 individuals (800 families, 200 adults and 800 children). The Fund received enough toys, games and books to fully supply the needs for all children in 2012. We hope that 2013 will be even more successful.
