William (Bill) MacLeod
LL.B., University of Victoria, 1981
B.A., 1977

Bill has been helping resolve civil litigation matters for more than 35 years. His practice covers a wide range of disputes including commercial, insurance and estate matters.

He works with clients to bring claims against insurance companies when they refuse to pay benefits under a policy, such as life, disability and fire insurance. Bill brings to these cases the tenacity and commitment they demand.

Bill’s insurance work also includes representing individuals who are injured as a result of negligence of others, such as in motor vehicle accidents or falls on unsafe property. He has successfully handled cases involving a broad range of injuries, extending from soft tissue and orthopedic to psychological and neurological, as well as wrongful death. He ensures all details and facts are covered and the right experts are retained in order to achieve fair and proper compensation for his clients.

His clients’ commercial disputes include lease issues between a landlord and tenant, various issues that can arise between parties to a contract, and real property disputes involving the sale and purchase of property.

Bill has represented clients at all levels of the courts of British Columbia, as well as before various administrative boards and tribunals
