Esteban practices general litigation, including commercial, employment, and personal injury law. He enjoys assisting clients with their disputes, and works diligently to ensure their position is fully and fairly represented in the courtroom.
Esteban articled with a well-established regional firm and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2016. He graduated from the University Of British Columbia Faculty Of Law, and is a University of Calgary Masters of Law [LLM] candidate. Esteban completed LLM course-work in Natural Resources Energy and Environmental Law, and his major paper Taking an Interest in Land: Comparing Rights under Expropriation and Aboriginal Law provides a comparative analysis of the procedural and substantive rights under mainstream and Aboriginal takings regimes.
Following law school, Esteban interned with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and later with Jakarta-based Hukumonline – the premier legal information provider in Indonesia. He later worked with a non-governmental organization, implementing federal and provincial corrections law and policy throughout the Pacific Region. Esteban has appeared before the British Columbia Provincial and Supreme Courts, as well as various administrative boards and tribunals.
Prior to law school, Esteban coached and competed in triathlons internationally. He competed in International Triathlon Union [ITU] World Cup races, was an ITU Points-Race silver-medalist (Bogotá, Colombia), and twice qualified for the ITU World Championships.
