Winston Sayson, Q.C , Crown Counsel with BC Ministry of Justice, spoke passionately about his experience as an Asian Canadian lawyer. He described his path from his family’s immigration to Canada from the Philippines in 1981, to law school, the prosecutor’s office, and his appointment as Queen’s Counsel in 2010.
The exceptional evening was emceed by FACL President, Serene S. Y. Chow, and UBC Law Career Services’ Jenn Lau. FACL BC was formed in 2007 to promote equity, justice, and opportunity for Asian Canadian legal professionals and the community.
